After much fan speculation, actress Jacqueline MacInnes Wood of The Bold and the Beautiful fame has revealed she is pregnant with her fifth child. This had led to speculation that her character on the soap, Steffy Forrester, could be having a baby, too. This also comes out as notable events on the soap concern her character.

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood Broke The Good News With Fans In Her Newsletter

Wood has been part of The Bold and the Beautiful since 2008 as Steffy Forrester. In 2018, Wood married talent agent Elan Ruspoli. The couple already has four sons together.

However, the actress recently shared exciting news with fans in her newsletter. She is currently expecting her fifth child.

According to her newsletter, Wood shared, “I’m almost 7 months pregnant! Our family is beyond excited, and my kids are over the moon. It’s such a special time in our home—so much love, energy, and anticipation!”

Wood later continued, “So, yes, there’s a lot going on over here—ha! But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I appreciate all of you and hope you have a beautiful week ahead. Sending love, prayers, and good vibes your way!”

At this time, it is unknown when her due date is, although there is some speculation that it could be at some point in May or June. Fans had been speculating that the actress could be having another child for quite some time.

TV Shows Have Incorporated Pregnancies Into Their Storylines Before

In addition, many fans had hoped that Wood would have a daughter, giving her four sons a sister. However, at this time, the baby’s gender is also unknown.

This has led to speculation that Wood’s pregnancy could also be written into the storylines of The Bold and the Beautiful. After all, many shows in the past have written actresses’ pregnancies into the series.

As mused by Monsters & Critics, however, the soap has usually hid Wood’s pregnancy with clothing. In other words, it’s unlikely it would be written into the series.

That said, Wood’s pregnancy is bound to still impact the show in other ways. At the very least, Steffy would likely be taking a little absence as her actress goes on maternity leave.

It’s also noteworthy that Steffy is in the middle of a heated storyline. She has learned that Finn is the father of Luna, who was also recently pardoned.

The actress also hinted that things could get dangerous for Steffy in her recent newsletter. As Wood shared, “Beyond that, I’ve been deep into filming some intense storylines on The Bold and the Beautiful, which has me burning the candle at both ends.”

Of course, Steffy being pregnant could add some extra drama into the ongoing storyline. After all, there was previous speculation that Luna’s paternity could drive Steffy and Finn apart. However, ultimately, only time will tell what will happen on The Bold and the Beautiful.
