Mike Wolfe shared the news about American Pickers returning for Season 27. Although Season 26 premiered just last month, he announced that the show will continue despite ratings dropping to their lowest so far this season. Mike wrote on Instagram, “Morning porch vibes from the great state of Tennessee. Enjoying some much-needed downtime before we start shooting a new season of American Pickers. It was 2004 when I picked up a camera and started filming Frank and my two-lane adventures. Now, almost 500 episodes in, my heart is humbled and grateful that you all still tune in to see America and its great people through our lens.”

He added, “Just like yours, the family that we have created has been through so much together. Beauty and some sadness around our table, but we remain focused on sharing history and how it connects us all.” This news comes after the recent passing of former longtime co-host Frank Fritz, who died in September at age 60. Frank last appeared on the show in March 2020 and had suffered a stroke in 2022.

American Pickers alum Frank Fritz had battled Crohn’s disease and a broken back, leading to a painkiller addiction before his stroke. Mike penned a heartfelt tribute: “It’s with a broken heart that I share with all of you that Frank passed away last night. I’ve known Frank for more than half my life, and what you’ve seen on TV has always been what I have seen—a dreamer who was just as sensitive as he was funny, the same off-camera as he was on. Frank had a way of reaching the hearts of so many by just being himself.”

Robbie Wolfe, who replaced Frank on American Pickers, shared his own tribute: “It’s with a heavy heart I’m sad to say my friend Frank Fritz passed away last night. You all knew him from TV, but I knew him from traveling, fishing, and family. He was the godfather to my twin girls. His smile was contagious, and his laughter will be missed most of all. Just time sitting in a fishing boat, talking about life. I know you’re in a better place. Love you, buddy. Hope you catch the big one. Until we see each other in heaven, hold the boat steady.”
